Linked agendas and the Sexual Health Network

The Network will develop links with a number of wider agendas to enhance communication, share good practice, develop the wider workforce and assure collaboration - specific examples include alcohol, substance use and sexual orientation.

It is essential that the network should maintain links with the teenage pregnancy agenda and the local co-ordination structures. With this in mind a formal link with the four Teenage Pregnancy Partnerships (TPP) has been established and the Teenage Pregnancy county and unitary co-ordinators will have a place on the Lancashire Sexual Health Network development Group.

This provides the facility to link the wider TPP groups in each of the localities into the Network structure and provide a mechanism to communicate and share developments and good practice.

The regional teenage pregnancy co-ordinator and the regional Chlamydia screening co-ordinator also meet on a regular basis with the three North West Sexual Health Network leads.
